Comfort Flex Collar
Slip collars have saved many dogs. Ask any dog owner that has a dog like a Doberman, Australian Cattle Dog or Husky, how fast they can slip a collar. Why? Simple math. Their heads are as big as their necks or their head is smaller than their neck. Huskies, on the other hand, are just the dog version of Houdini and they take getting out of a collar as a challenge.
Pinch/Choke collars are downright dangerous to the dog in the wrong hands. A Pinch/Choke collar will close in on itself and cut off the dogs' air supply, sometimes damaging the trachea in the process. Very quickly too and if you have it on the wrong way (yes there is a right way) it won't open when the pulling stops.
The ComfortFlex® Limited Slip Collar is designed to keep your dog both safe and comfortable on their walks. Limited Slip is just that, it will not close in on itself and there is no right way/wrong way to put it on. When the pulling stops the collar loosens. Simple as that.
The lightly padded nylon collar goes on loose, easily slipping over the dogs' head. If the dog pulls in any direction away from you, the collar then tightens down enough so that the dog can not slip out of the collar, but not enough to choke the dog. Reflective strapping makes this collar easy to see in low-light situations.
Size Neck Measurement
- S 7" - 14"
- M 10" - 20"
- L 14" - 28"
- XL 17" - 34"
Neck Measurement represents the "closed" collar dimensions. Measure the smallest diameter of the neck. That is usually right behind the ears. You don't have to leave any additional room as you do with buckle collars because this collar is measured closed and it does open to slip over your dogs' head. For instance: measure Dobermans and Husky right behind the ears. For Huskies, snug it down a bit to offset the amount of fur that is involved.
